Just here for friendship of those seeking Christ alone. I am an Irish American (hence all the green!) who is seeking hard after God.

This is my 13th year teaching children Sunday School, but 2008 appears to be my most challenging year yet is God is asking me to up my game and teach adults as well.

Beloved Child of God,
For only the afflicted can truly glorify the Lord by blessing others through "our thorn in the side". As the Lord told Paul " My grace is sufficient" His grace is His power, His Spirit moving in and through you.
My freedom from Drug Addiction for 32 years is testimony of the Grace of the Lord being sufficient. When He strengthened me to quit, a doctor had given me 6 monthes to live due to the damage the drugs had done to my organs.
32 years later I am still singing "Praise to the LOrd, everybody stand and sing, for He alone is worthy."

I too struggle with a disease that might kill me - malaria. It's affecting my nervous system and has produced PVCs. One day it will probably stop my heart. Each night I go to bed and wonder if I'll wake up.

I'm praying that Hashem will give me the grace to use it as a motivating factor. I'll pray for you. Please pray for me.

May your shelter ever be the Most High;
Your dwelling place remain His over-shadowing.
May He alone be your refuge and safety;
May He be your God and your trust remain in Him.
May He rescue you from man’s laid traps
And rescue you from the destroying curse.
May His faithful promises be your armor
So you need no longer fear.
Hashem will be your Strong Rock;
Magen will be your castle, crag and stronghold.

And His grace is sufficient, in all things. Look up into the eyes of the Master as He picks you up and carries you in the path He has set before you. We serve an awesome God and His love is neverending, His care is faithful, and His hand is always upon His children. God is bringing forth the flowers in His garden. And you, are a blossom ready to open.
